With one event remaining Armindo's score of 42 points can no longer be beaten. Even though his closest rival, Nasser Al-Attiyah can still score points in the final round of the season at Rally GB next week, the most the Qatari driver can score is 41 points.

Armindo and co-driver Miguel Ramalho will compete in October’s Rally GB although they will not be eligible to score more points having already completed the maximum number of events this year.  The event will be used to gain experience in a new HKS powered Mitsubishi EvoX in preparation for the 2010 world championship.
