Using Variable Valve Timing Technology, V Cam System evolves the RB26 engine to a new level. Taking the concepts from the Step 1 kits a stage further, Step Pro provides higher power and higher engine speed capabilities.
Features
The intake cam side of the RB26DETT is changed to allow variable valve timing. For higher levels of tuning compared to Step 1.
Specially designed cam has a duration of 264°, valve lift 10mm. Reviewing Cam material, profile and valve timing change, Step Pro is suited to higher power outputs at high rpm.
Billet camshaft used to give strength even when used with uprated valve springs at high RPM (recommended limit 8800rpm). Added strength facilitates a hollow cam design has allowing Step Pro to be 560g lighter than Step 1.
Valve timing has 50° adjustment from 80°~130°
Exhaust cam can be selected to suit vehicle specification.

Special Intake Cam Cover : HKS Original Cam Cover. Available unpainted or in HKS Racing Green. With Logo Plate
VALCON(V CAM Specific) : Pro Type. Start Map Included
OCV : Duty controlled electromagnetic type Valve timing controller.
Cam Angle Sensor : High Accuracy Type
Other Necessary Parts
EX Camshaft : Select according to Turbo Size
Oil Line : From Engine to Cam Cover. Recommended: Flexible hose AN4 Female - AN4 Female (1408-RA012?005?013?006?007?008)
Oil Pump : Stock f77 and N1 f81 are available but may not provide ample pressure at low rpm to adjust valve timing. For this reason, HKS Oil Pump is recommended

Please ensure that Fuel, Ignition and Valve Timing settings are adjusted to suit new engine specications
Notes for Usage
RPM Limit : 8800rpm
Oil/Water Temperature : When Oil is at lower temperatures, higher viscosity may prevent valve timing from reaching desired figure. Cam will not advance if water temperature is below 20°C
Timing Belt : Please check for tension and wear every 10,000km and adjust/replace as necessary.
